2025-2026 Broadcast News Evaluations

The Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) is excited to announce our broadcast news evaluations, a unique opportunity to highlight and hone your team's journalistic pursuits, and receive feedback to better your program.

Key Dates:

• Submission #1 Deadline: October 15, 2025
• Submission #2 Deadline: December 10, 2025
• Submission #3 Deadline: February 11, 2026

Submission Guidelines:

1. Schools must submit three episodes from news programs crafted this academic year. 
2. Submit your shows as URL links, compatible with platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, or SchoolTube.
3. We emphasize that only content from the current school year is acceptable.
4. Accompany your submission with a written statement providing context on special circumstances and pinpointing specific areas you'd like our evaluators to focus on.

Feedback & Recognition: With each evaluation, programs can expect thorough feedback across a variety of areas, which should be used to better your program throughout the year. Each program may be awarded a rank of All-Florida, Gold, Silver, Bronze.  Once all evaluations have been received, our distinguished panel will identify "Sunshine Standout" winners to be announced at our spring convention, celebrating the best in scholastic broadcasting.
