2025-2026 Podcast Evaluations

The Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) is excited to announce our podcast news evaluations, a unique opportunity to highlight and refine your team’s journalistic storytelling, while receiving constructive feedback to strengthen your program.

Key Dates:

• Submission #1 Deadline: October 15, 2025

• Submission #2 Deadline: December 10, 2025

• Submission #3 Deadline: February 11, 2026

You must submit to all three deadlines to be eligible for a final rating and Sunshine Standout recognition.

Submission Guidelines:

• Schools must submit three podcast episodes created during the current academic year.

• Submit your podcasts as URL links, compatible with platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, SoundCloud, or Anchor.

• Only content from the current school year will be considered.

• Each submission should include a short written statement that provides context for any special circumstances and identifies specific areas where you would like our evaluators to focus.

Feedback & Recognition:

Each evaluation will include thorough feedback across multiple areas of podcasting, designed to help your team grow throughout the year. Programs may be awarded a rank of All-Florida, Gold, Silver, or Bronze.

Once all evaluations are complete, our distinguished panel will select “Sunshine Standout” winners, to be announced at our spring convention—celebrating the best in scholastic podcasting.
