2024-2025 Broadcast News Evaluations

The Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) is excited to announce our mid-year broadcast news evaluations, a unique opportunity to highlight and hone your team's journalistic pursuits.

Key Dates:

• Submission #1 Deadline: October 15th
• Submission #2 Deadline: December 10th
• Submission #3 Deadline: March 1st

Submission Guidelines:

1. Member publications are encouraged to submit up to three episodes from news programs crafted this academic year. If your team has produced fewer than three episodes, simply submit the available ones.
2. Submit your shows as URL links, compatible with platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, or SchoolTube.
3. We emphasize that only content from the current school year is acceptable.
4. Accompany your submission with a written statement providing context on special circumstances and pinpointing specific areas you'd like our evaluators to focus on.

Feedback & Recognition: Upon evaluation, publications can expect thorough feedback across a variety of areas. Each program may be awarded a rank of All-Florida, Gold, Silver, Bronze.  Our distinguished panel will be identifying both Daily and Non-Daily "Sunshine Standout" winners, celebrating the best in scholastic broadcasting.
