DIGITAL CONTESTS

Digital Contests allow Florida student journalists to showcase their work in a variety of categories such as writing, design, photography, art, broadcast and multimedia journalism. Judges assign a numeric score to each and provide written feedback.

See link at right for a list of All-Florida and Best of the Best winners.

NOTES:

-- Journalist of the Year competitions were not scored on the 50-point scale so you can ignore numeric scores on those. Some judges used them for reference and others did not.

-- Best of the Best placements are not listed on the report, which only provides scores, written feedback and the rating. For your reference:

  • 44-50 = All-Florida
  • 38-43 = Excellent
  • 25-37 = Honorable Mention

-- The All-Florida list does include a listing of Best of the Best winners, and hyperlinks to that winning work is being added ASAP.

-- Certificates were printed based on names provided. However, we will provide digital copies of replacement certificates in early May. Send corrections to Joe Humphrey at fspacontests (at) gmail (dot) com. Be specific.

-- If you were not at convention, we are still in the process of returning your certificates by mail. The names on those will match what is on your feedback forms.

-- Entries with broken links and/or missing attachments along with those submitted to the wrong category were not scored. If you would still like feedback for those entries, go to the Manage Entries screen in the BNC datebase, click Disable on the entry and resubmit no later than May 1.

-- One of the most important aspects of our Digital Contests is the feedback provided by the judges. We welcome your feedback on their feedback on this form.
