Digital Contests allow Florida student journalists to showcase their work in a variety of categories such as writing, design, photography, art, broadcast and multimedia journalism. Judges assign a numeric score to each and provide written feedback (Criteria are listed on the document with prompts and instructions below. We recognize All-Florida winners online and name a Best of the Best at convention for each category. See link at right for a list of All-Florida and Best of the Best winners. FALL 2023 DIGITAL CONTESTS Best of the Best winners are now posted to the right (computer) or below (phone) FEEDBACK IS NOW AVAILABLE 1. Go to BetterNewspaperContest.com. 2. Select Contestant Login 3. Under the Contestant Manager tab, select FSPA Fall 2023 Digital Contests and your school/publication. Use the same password you used to enter the contest. 4, Once you log in, click on the Judges Feedback button in the top left, and select PDF to generate a report of feedback from judges. -- Best of the Best placements are not listed on the report, which only provides scores, written feedback and the rating. -- Certificates were printed based on names provided and distributed at district workshops. If you were not at your district workshop, hopefully the district director has mailed your certificates or still has them. NOTES: -- While judges used the 50-point scale utilized in Digital Contests, entries for convention contests do not receive a "rating," so the right hand column here is moot. Only the highest scoring entries won in each category. Those results were announced at convention and a draft list is posted on this website (pending any name changes). -- If you were unable to claim your students' certificates at the convention closing, we will be mailing them out soon.
